I’m glad you’re into the Emelan idea! I get the impression a lot of people in the fandom are not as interested in that book as the others, but I really liked it. I really want to explore the emotional impact of it on all of them more, since Will of the Empress deals with that a lot but I feel like Battle Magic doesn’t, so much.
